Interesting chapter. For the most part, I can say that Vera is definitely better than most of these giants. She liked animals, scared people but didn't kill them...However, I wonder what this river incident was? Could it have been Vera killing or eating a human? She did mention that she'd tried eating human before, maybe that's when it happened? Also we got some tidbits about the giants here, so this whole thing is just a test to see who becomes God of the giants then? Is that why they have come to Earth and wreak havoc? The questions are killing me man, I can't wait for the next one!

You're kind of getting close. Its important to remember that most of the giant's really want nothing to do with one another. Its more about feeling like a god than actually becoming one.
