Is Jack EVER going to wise up and not be a pretentious scumbag? Fuck, I'd be grateful they didn't kill me or force-feed me some amnesiac drug... Dude, they gave you a mattress, it's better than if they had decided to just stuff you in a supply closet with all the bleach and vomit pails, BE GRATEFUL. 'Course he probably never paid for college and had a nice cushy apartment instead of dorm...
I really want Jack to be taken down a peg, can you tell? It's just... His whole attitude make me want to wring his neck....

Yeah I can tell you really have something against Jack but I won't fault you for it, his behaviour would extract such a response from the readers.
No, he didn't exactly pay his own way through college, not when his parents can afford to do that for him but I'd also raise a complaint over such a place but having slept on dirt during my time in the army, I'd put up with it for one to two nights, might even clean the place myself.
