I'm fine with the remake, it kind of hard to tell the difference. But it seems better, so i guess that's the difference. I find myself enjoying read this remarkable remake.

Author's Response:

So far it does seem similar although Jack hates Jessica and Jessica is very witty. By the ninth chapter you'll see what is so different with this remake, it'll go in directions the original did not.

Ahh... the English and their massive sense of decorum. Probably why they lost in The American Revolution to farmers.

Fuschia pink luggage... ha! I do like the way he feels like she is purposefully trying to pester him. He should have known shit can happen at seas... but considering Jessica's looks? I would trade places with him.

Author's Response:

I always chalked that up to French aid and also that British arrogance they once possessed.

Pink is actually a favourite colour of mine to be honest so I threw that one in. I would definitely trade places with Jack if he didn't want to be with Jessica, she'd be a blast to hang out with.

I definitely love the slower pace you have going on here! Their relationship is taking time to grow...I kind of find it odd that you decided to keep Catelyn as part of this rewrite, I mean your re-writting both this AND Aftermath right?

And that character was always something you had gripes about in the original, it just seemed like a good opportunity not to have the character in...

Author's Response:

Thank you, I am intending to slow the pace down, give it room to develop and grow the story as a whole, let the reader bond with the characters. You're right in that Aftermath is getting redone as well and Caitlin has a part to play, don't you worry too much because when you see her, you'll understand. She'll play the role she was intended to, the one I planned for her but screwed up badly.

I could have left her out but like I said above, its too much of an opportunity to pass up. I hope to keep you interested and also to attract new fans.
