Author's Response:

Thanks for reading/reviewing! I'm glad you like the story. And if you want to see more of Claire and Corey, I suggest keeping an eye out for Ackbar's name, since he's going to be expanding their story at some point.  I will check out your new story when I get a chance; I've enjoyed your past works.

It was cool to see a new side of the characters and even feel a little sorry for Marion for once.

Well crafted.

Author's Response: Sorry for Marion? You monster.

Call me cynical. But, the Lindons sound more like an exception to a gradually--and frighteningly--changing rule.

Author's Response:

I'd probably sooner call you realistic in this case than cynical.

I think the take away from all this is it depends on the personalities an relationships of the people involved.  Most of the last households or univerities studied were run by powerful, selfish women where the relationships between them and their charges weren't that good to begin with.  What we see from the Lindon household is a well adjusted, loving family that cares more for the future of their children then themselves.  Shrink Act criminals shouldn't just be placed in their homes without first evaluating nature of their relationships with their wardens and the environment they are going into.  This comes back to main issue with the Shrink Act.  Far too much power is given to people that could cause great harm to their charges.  In some of these cases, there were no firm end to the incareration, just a perioditic review, which the warden can skew to keep their prisoners shrunk indefinately.

Still good writing and a good mix of GTS elements.

Author's Response:

You're very right about the shaky ethics of who has the power in the Shrink Act, and it's actually something that's going to be heavily addressed next chapter.  Thanks for reading!

I like the way this was handled. There were situations where we could have seen the stern "say nice things" looks in previous chapters, but instead we have two people who seem to have a great relationship. Even then, the end of the chapter made it more interesting by hinting that, even though they get along well, there's still something going on.

What's his sampling method? Are the subjects chosen completely at random, or are they specifically chosen based on some criteria?

Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing! His sampling pool is semi-randomized, though he is still aiming for ones with particularly hairy accounts to share.
