What a great story! Can't wait to read the continuation. I really enjoy Shia and Brian. It makes me sad Brian has to leave after his contract is over. Maybe they can have a long term romance, and maybe Brian will let her alter his body so that they shall live together forever. I see Shia as almost a perfect wife/ partner for Brian. Great Work! Keep it up! By the way what is your deviant art name?

Author's Response:

I'm glad that you're enjoying the story but what makes you think Brian has to leave when his contract is over? Shia never mentioned any such thing after all.

“To be honest the stress you felt over the suit makes no sense whatsoever. Do you believe that I'm going to require you to leave once we've found enough magizon to begin the desired development? I have no such intentions. If working with me for a few months can initiate a sweeping change in your technology how much more would your people benefit if you worked with me for an entire year? I have other plans then simply looking for magizon. This is simply one of the tasks I believe that is most suitable to your ability level. As you improve and learn to better integrate your mind with my own we can move onto more advanced tasks.”

Even there she doesn't mention him leaving only mentions that she has reasons to stay. Shia's concern is how long Brian can endure being with her especially as he grows closer to him. He hasn't yet experienced the full affect of her attention as the story notes.

She positively burned to drink Brian down and bring him more into herself.

I am very pleased that people believe they make a fine couple of course. As for my deviantart name happiest-in-shadows. My icon is a little grey and white kitten.

Wow, you've really been producing alot of stories lately.  This story has quickly become another one of my favorites.  I think my favorite GTS stories are with an all powerful female, that's benevolent, maternal and loving.  She deeply loves the guy, who's pretty average.  And then she tries to take control of his life, so that all his needs are met and he's safe.  I can hardly wait for you to continue this and your other stories and to see what you might produce in the future.

Author's Response:

I sure wish I could write as quickly as I'm posting. The stories I've posted here are more like what I've produced over a two year time frame. I have one more story I might post here then I'll go quiet for a while. Not that I've stopped writnig but at this moment I'm working on a super fem story that simply wouldn't belong here.

I'm glad that you're enjoying the story. Though given Brian's self control and studies I'm not sure if calling him average is entirely proper.

You really have a very fine talent for world building. Interesting characters, interesting settings, wonderfully unique concepts.

Author's Response:

Thanks. I don't know if I can claim credit for the concept I was inspired by a lot japanese role playing games. Part of it was just imaging what if the big world eating villain was a very benevolent lady.

I read this all in one go, and considering it waa ME, you should feel accomplished. I dont remember the last time ive read this many words in one go. Both protagonists are interesting. Shia is surprisingly human and the fact that she makes mistakes and can have her opinions changed by someone as inferior as a human makes her all the more likeable in my opinion.

I also love the way shes kinda childlike, like when Brian agrees to something, she super happy and does it immediately after he says yes. Its funny that such a ridiculously overpowered being is also trying to seduce a man and playing pranks on groups of people.

Brian has also surprised me. I wasnt expecting to like this character since hes just a guy but his cleverness and self-control have made him also likeable.  All in all this is my favorite of your stories right now, and actually shot up to my favorite story on this site in a single read! You sir/mam have a talent for writting!

Author's Response:

Thanks. I'm constantly worrying when writing for Shia as she is suppose to be such a powerful advanced being. I often ask myself should she be making such a mistake if she's so far beyond human? From what you said and those I've spoken to that actually makes her more likable. I feared it would diminish her in terms of power but instead it seems to add to her character which is nice. I wanted a being that was overwhelming in terms of power but could still be loved.

Shia's excitement was actually inspired by a super being in a manga. The lady was rather overwhelming in terms of power but she became so delighted when her human friend stood up to her that she began sweating and shaking with delight. People tended to just bow to her desires or get beaten down so to have a friend defy her was a wonderful feeling to her. In Shia this morphed into her addiction. As powerful as Shia is and the others of her kind are they have an overwhelming intense desire for companionship that they just can't provide for one another. It's one of my favorite aspects of her as well. In the final chapter I rather enjoyed it when she took a moment to tell Brian that he's safe at the same time she's struggling to keep herself in check.

I'm glad Brian gave that impression. He is after all meant to be someone Shia chose to meet the few needs she has for as long as he can.

It's also nice to see you enjoyed the story though it's not over yet. I'll be continuing it after a while. Well a few months. When I posted this story at giantesscity and my deviantart account I was actually surprised by how positively recieved it was.
