It's a pretty interesting start you've got here.  The conversational style of speaking meshed well with the bulk of information needed to explain your story's alternate world.  I'm curious where you're going with this.

I am too honestly lol. I usually have a general idea about where I'm going but I'm largely making this up as I go. Glad you're interested though. Hopefully I can keep it up.
