I know I'm 4 years late since the last update, but I just read through this whole story and thought it was great. I love the cast of characters you've created and the nice balance between action and plot you've struck. I don't know if you have any interest in continuing this, but since there were years between the last update, maybe another update is possible in the future? I really hope so, this is good.

How about Michelle opens with: "You remember my boyfriend, Joe."

Then, she opens her (right?) hand and Joe says: "Hi, Maxine! How's the weather up, there?"
