This story so nicely paints the cruel-gentle contrast. I really like this kind of setting - an abused, traumatized "tiny" finds comfort in the arms of a giant/ess.

The way you write Caitlin, the depth you give her, instead of just making her a superficial cruel person is awesome, even though I can imagine it pretty taxing to write. Its heavy stuff. 

I'm hoping that the mc can change her views and may even find ailment for his traumatization, which she caused, in her care.

If this were a cliff-hanger at Writing.com, the first verbal option for the next installment would be "...trouble."


But, yeah, I think Alex' mental guess is close to the mark.  Some kind of get-away residence for the Reids.  Similar to one of those "modest" Hilton condos I've read about in Vegas tour propaganda.
