Author's Response: Shortness is in the eye of the beholder. With exceptions so rare as to be virtually non-existent, everytime I've posted a chapter that exceeded a thousand words, my computer has timed out on me. Forcing me to rewrite and repost the entire chapter in a much briefer fashion. And, it usually takes me an hour or two, alone, to meet the mandatory minimum! So, I can only hope you were able to be consoled by reading all 28 current chapters in one sitting (on the edge of your seat). ;-)

But the chapters are too short.
