My family used to have annual reunions, for about twenty years. But, I wasn't too crazy about them, at first. The micro-managing fuss that went into setting them up beforehand killed whatever enjoyment I might (repeat: MIGHT) have gotten out of them, once they were in full swing. By the time I did get to enjoy them, the novelty had worn off for the older relatives...and the younger relatives were just plain permanently disinterested.
Long story, short ("too late!"): I empathize with Jake, completely!

I've gotta be honest, this story was kind of losing me with the ass insertion/toilet scene in an earlier chapter (not my thing). But the family reuinion at a fancy restaurant has me intrigued. All sorts of possibilities there. I look forward to seeing where you're going with it, though I hope Jake and Nique will make it through alive.

The last place I would want to be if I were those two is at a restaurant! I’m wondering if something sinister is coming? Obviously our hero won't be exiting the story, but I wonder if Nique is "accidentally" going to get a one way ticket to someones stomach??? Can't wait to see where you go with this!
