But wait! You've taught us to believe there is no hope for him in this world! What's going to happen? Oh man!

Good stuff. Really interesting mileage you're getting out of these characters.  I 'unno. You've layered the stories well. It's a surprisingly textured world, it feels lived in by now, by these two strange people we've come to know pretty well. Now a third! (Ah geez, but who is this strange stranger? What doth this portend for weary Jack?)

Anyway, good writing. Got a lurker outta hiding, if that means anything. Keep on doing whatever it is you do, s'workin', and there are some embarrassingly rapt audience members out here.

Ahhh, I've been anxious to see more of this one, glad you found time to write another chapter. Gotta say, I'm still rooting for some kind of salvation for poor Jack here, and maybe, JUST maybe... he's found it... that or a fate worse than his own sister. :p
