Wow! I finally got around to reading this and I'm HOOKED. The cruelty is insane and rare for a story on this site. The extreme themes and writing are all top notch. I really hope Ben and Liz make it out.. but you did say no one makes it out after an encounter with Jacob

Is there a particular reason you picked Valdez? As someone who has lived in the area it was like getting hit with a flashbang seeing it in a story.

Author's Response:

Sweet! Ecstatic to have you here! :)

I'm really happy you like the story! I have become obsessed with writing it, and am already planning the sequel after I finish the 3rd volume of this first book. As for Ben and Liz, the next chapter will offer some closure on a few plot points I've been holding out for long enough now. I plan on releasing it later today!

Yes, I wanted somewhere remote but still familiar. I found Valdez on the maps and loved its look and appeal. I felt that if I were Blaire, it's the place I'd pick to escape a totalitarian family structure. It also gave me a way to add an additional level of depth to the story I thought.

Looking forward to see your feedback on the next chapter!

Won't be surprised if Deita falls in love with Liz.....or at least becomes her friend.

Author's Response:

That would certainly be an unexpected twist! Sadly, as it seems so far, Deita appears rather set on devouring her, especially now that Jacob rejected her feelings towards him, seems Liz will be the tool of Deita to lash out her feelings...

Poor Liz, guess we'll see her fate unfold soon enough :(

Thanks for reading! And thanks for taking time to share your thoughts <3

Wow! this is by far one of my favorite chapters in this saga.

The interruption of the finale for poor Liz allows her another moment to contemplate her heart wrenching end in the stomach of this evil Deita.

I was taken a little back when we found out Avaramix knew of Ben's intrusion into the lab. The berating he gave Deita and Jinshin was an eye opener for them both.

After Deita left the room we hear Avaramix have a more personal discussion with Jinshin and she finds out her true purpose to Avaramix and his organization.

This jumps us back to when Jinshin was younger and a captive in another organization. Her being just a product in the eyes of that organization made her see the similarities to what she was to Avaramix and this organization.

The flashback was enlightening for the reader as well as we are able to understand why she has this protective affinity towards Ben. This makes me as a reader have an overwhelming empathy for her. l feel that much more connected to her and Ben's story.

Jinshin understands now that she is no different than those shrinkies in the eyes of Avaramix and how he will turn his back on her as soon as her usefulness has run its course.

There are moments in every good story that makes the reader feel this is a turning point and the story has been taken to the next level. I would say that this is the chapter that has done this for me. I have been enamored with the story arc of Jinshin and Ben from the beginning and this chapter has been that moment for me.

Don't get me wrong I do like the story arc of Deita, Gullivette, Jacob and Becca and all the other cast in this story I just have been so drawn to Jinshin and Ben on a more personal level. Their story just seems to have a more resounding spark I can't put my finger on just yet.

WOW! What an amazing chapter. I am at a loss for words as the possibilities for alternative outcomes is endless.

Will Jinshin try and save Ben once and for all and will this be her demise? Will her usefulness in this organization end and will Avaramix decide to have Jacob shrink her and give her to the evil Deita for elimination.

Or,

Will she actually save Ben and turn the tables on this evil organization bringing the walls down around them. Will she be the crack in the foundation that would ultimately end this organization. Can she be the unexpected hero?

I am so looking forward to the next installment and still ancally waiting for the finality of Liz or will Deita have a change of heart toward her as well the story never ceases to amaze me.

GREAT JOB on a GREAT chapter!

10+ rating on this one

Author's Response:

Oh boy, this was an unexpected reaction! I felt like I was rushing but at the same time I greatly enjoyed writing this chapter. I took an anime style move with the shift to the past and I plan on doing that more very soon.

Looking forward to the mid volume finale ;)

Wow I didn't know that I am not sure how that happened or how it could be changed. I did notice that your "Author's Chapter Notes" have become faint and need highlighted to read as well. The rest of the text prior to and after the Author's Chapter Notes are darker print. On my side the text is black with white background.

Author's Response:

Yeah not sure what's happening I noticed that too and have been trying to fix it.

It may be related to mobile users, on my PC everything looks normal.

Response to Author's Response:

My biggest challenge so far was getting into a position to start the development of Annie as a character in preparation for the obvious and eventual reunion between her and Jacob.

(You have done well with this development as there is truly drama between them that keeps the reader on edge anticipating the next turn.)

When I plotted the first volume, it was mostly just unveiling the main cast of characters and slowly showing the reader the contrast of personalities, motives and direction the plot may go.

(For me personally you have created a nice contrast between each character to the point I am intrigued as to what may happen to them. I am anticipating a brutal end to Liz and hoping for a resolution that would keep Ben around and he finally understands under the circumstances he can make things work out positively.)

Now that we are in volume 2, the major shift is how everything begins to unravel. With Blaire now on the path of discovery, how much longer can Jacob keep his secret from her?

(I actually was not expecting Blaire to start picking up on the issues she has found herself in and how she is becoming a decent sleuth.)

With Benjamin having infiltrated the experiment lab, what sort of consequences will he face?

(I am hoping that his punishment isn't fatal and he comes around to understanding his place in the world now that he has been shrunken and has been given to a somewhat caring person at least toward him.)

With Jacob's view of Liz and her soon to be fate, and Ben captured yet again, is her fate sealed and doomed to end in the belly of Deita?

(The anticipation and build up to this climax for Liz has been great although I would like to see her survive I'm assuming her fate has been sealed. Although I would like to see her fate whatever it is be detailed and graphic befitting the build up. I am still holding out for a somewhat positive outcome for Ben.)

Will Annie be able to prove her worth as more than a destructive force of nature? After getting O'Dias to speak at all, will it lead her to salvation and ensure the survival of her task force that she views as family?

(I think the trust has been hurt but hopefully she has proven to be worthy by this interrogation effort and tactic.)

And what about when Jacob and Annie meet? Are they enemies? Friends? Acquaintances? It's clear that because of their past and connection to one another, there seems to be large motivation on both ends that they seek to find each other eventually.

(This will be a very interesting meeting I get the feeling there may be some animosity Jacob has toward Annie as she really turned her back on him.)

As we approach chapter 10 which will be the mid volume climactic, I cannot wait to unveil the next phase of the story as we start to really get into the thick of it.

(I am most definitely looking forward to these new chapters and wondering what we will be witnessing.)

Thanks for reading!

Author's Response:

Hey! Not sure if you realized, but lately your reviews have been showing up the text as dark. The only way to read them is by highlighting the text.

This only started with chapter 7 of volume 2, the previous reviews were all white text as normal.

Otherwise thanks for your thoughts and I'm super pumped for this story!

Great we have another meeting with Annie.

It is interesting to see those in the conference room out of control with fear and wanting to make rash decisions based on the fear they are feeling. This brings to mind how our world works when confronted with an obstacle we seem to have difficulty controlling.

The emotions Annie feels in the conference are valid. When you can feel the people, you are trying to protect are the ones that are fearful of you and seem to have turned their backs on her is frustrating for sure.

Now to see Annie/Gullivette at work her methods may be unconventional but effective. A very good chapter revolves around Annie.

Interesting how even the stress O’Dias was under, he still lied about the location of Avaramix’s headquarters. This seems to hint he is more afraid of Avaramix than he is of Gullivette. He must be trying to give himself more time to find a proper escape.

As always, I am looking forward to the continuation of this arc of the story. I give you props on being able to keep up with each story and consistently making it an easy transition between them. You have built an immersive world where the reader is kept wanting more.

Although me being selfish and would love to see these chapters every day I do understand you need time to rest and reenergized or you could end up burned out.

Thank you for sharing this great story with us and keeping us on the edge of our seats.

Nice to see a story this morning,

Okay now I was caught off guard with Blaire having her nightmare. Interesting concept and opens a whole new avenue where she’s able to tap into the mind of Jacob. I am intrigued how you integrated Jacob’s nightmare into Her’s and gave us just a little more from the previous victim’s fate.

Jacob’s lies coming back to haunt him as all lies will eventually circle around to grab you harshly. Blaire’s morning jog is very enlightening for her, and her eventual sleuthing will either uncover more ominous information or she may find herself in trouble.

This chapter was a great lead up to what may be heading our way.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

So glad to see you! Always happy to hear your thoughts :D

All lies rely on the shadow to remain hidden, but when the veil of light is cast upon shadow, the lies are scattered and exposed!

Needless to say, we are definitely building up to something, aren't we? I'll admit, I'm at the point where I find myself re-reading previous chapters to ensure I have the details correct. I have multiple plot threads I'm weaving right now. We still have no clue what fate will become of Liz, I'll admit I've postponed her climactic scene a bit because I wanted to lay out more for the other characters first. I'm pleased to say this will change very soon, I just need to weave a few more threads first. With Jinshin and Ben, now Blaire and her newfound revelation, how will Jacob be tossed in the middle of all this? Then there's the question still of how Gullivette will play into all of this. So far she's only had what, two appearances?

In any case, despite how busy my work is right now, I'll do everything I can to keep getting chapters out and make sure they're congruent to the storyline!

Look forward to seeing you in the next one! If you ever would like to chat on discord feel free to hit me up!

Okay, I don’t always read through the Authors notes as they will sometimes give spoilers but this one intrigued me, so I decided to go ahead and read it. The buildup to the fate of Liz was just a tad impressive.

The opening of this chapter was not what I was expecting. I was anticipating a finality to the Liz saga but was treated to a whole new story line. I should have expected that you would have thrown a curve ball our way, but I guess you had me so invested in the fate of Liz that I was not prepared for new characters just yet.

Being taken to another location is sort of like a small reset to our story plot while keeping the reader enthralled and anticipating the interaction between the antagonists and protagonists of the story.

Now we can see where some of the first victims of this new shipment have gone and what their fates were. The new antagonist characters introduced Marissa the preppy rich brat, Macy the picky eater but can be peer pressured into anything. Joyce who is an adventurous eater just because hey, why not. And then there’s Jasmine the voluptuous ebony young woman. These characters could easily be brought back into the story at a later date possibly having some backstory with them.

I like how you made the interaction between the four young ladies to be just another fun night among friends trying new experiences together. This is supposed to be an experience they cherish as memories they had in college with friends. Taking the lives of those four victims and dehumanizing them to just food.

Although brutal it is important to have the details of what happened to the victims as it brings closure to those highlighted victims.

Just my opinion but especially with the leading victims we have currently Ben and Liz it is vital that their fate is descriptive if not more so than that of Howard. The reader has invested their energy into them although this may cause an emotion not everyone is prepared for it is important to have a climax fitting for such a buildup.

Great side story as a reset for the overall plot.

Author's Response:

I had this chapter in mind for some time, the pure brutality of it was what I liked so much.

Definitely looking forward to wrapping up the never ending buildup up Liz and Ben. Seems they're both in hot water now, and since Ben failed to find and save her, it appears Deita will be left unchallenged doesn't it?

As for Howard, I kept the details brief, but wanted to showcase just how deadly the female stomach is in my story. Doing some research, being in a stomach is far deadlier than most kink stories lead on. I decided to take a more realistic approach with Howard passing out from the lack of oxygen.

Now we know, if you get ate, you don't live much longer.

I am just now able to catch up on reading chapter 2-5 of volume II. I wanted to leave a review breaking down my thoughts on each chapter for what it’s worth.

Chapter-2

The start of this chapter caught me off guard, I was not expecting Ben to take this to the level he did. He obviously had been trying this for awhile albeit to no success. Jinshin seems to come out of nowhere to keep him from succeeding in his endeavor. I was happy to see we were enlightened a bit on her feeling for Ben although she still doesn’t understand the depth yet. I would suspect we will be seeing this as we move through the chapters. Although Ben has made strong arguments toward Jinshin I get the feeling Ben’s resolve will soon be broken with his imprisonment. It is interesting how Jinshin has searched for ways to justify her actions in her life and landing on Ben’s predicament as his bias outlook not taking responsibility in her role in these atrocities. Looking forward to reading and learning more about Jinshin’s emotional attachment with Ben and how far she will go to protect him. Jinshin and Ben have become my favorite characters in this drama. My personal humble opinion now is that you have a dynamic between these two that surpasses the others. A spinoff of these two characters lives together and the drama that unfolds with them could easily happen.

As the chapter progressed, we learned more of Jacobs ability. After what happened in the container, I can see Deita creating an enormous amount of drama between her Jacob and Blair. Deita and her deviousness through her newfound feelings toward Jacob. I am getting the feeling she will go to devilish lengths to get what she wants. I would not put it past her to take measures to eliminate all possible roadblocks standing in her way to get what she wants even if it is to remove what she perceives as her competition now that she knows Jacob can shrink multiple people at the same time by them just touching each other. It was sad to see the response from Jacob in this chapter regarding Liz’s fate.

Chapter 3

Okay I must say the start of this chapter gave me hope that there may be possible hope for Liz. It is interesting to learn some of the details of Deita’s room, shedding some light on her persona. My first impression of her was not the neat and organized but rather mor chaotic in nature. This was interesting how through the previous chapters you seem to create an internal image of a person’s personality and they are not exactly the way to perceived them to be. This was a fresh breath of air as these little details strewn throughout the story will keep you interested.

The interaction between Liz and Jacob was heart wrenching to say the least then the WOW factor occurred. I was NOT expecting Deita to appear. There is a lot to unpack with Deita and Jacob’s interaction. This interaction was very intriguing and opened a lot of possibilities. Deita has a lot of soul searching that will gage how she moves forward with how she interacts with Jacob.

My earlier thoughts of what she may do from the previous chapter stand but the reason she will go about it is due to vindictiveness rather than eliminating what she may perceive as competition. WOW this was a great chapter and had some unexpected plot twists.

Chapter 4

This chapter is a great analytical approach to learning how Annie (Gullivette) and Jacob received their powers. We learn how Annie escapes the facility leaving Jacob behind. She didn’t even try and find out if he was still alive but rather just ran away.

The similarities between Annie and Deita are striking. This may be one of the reasons Jacob hates Deita as she may subconsciously remind him of Annie. There could be some suppressed feelings toward Annie he is not aware of due to the nature of her leaving him behind. It is interesting how all these characters intertwine with each other.

Chapter 5

So now we get a glimpse into the research that Avaramix and his goons are performing. More intriguing drama is sure to come. The infatuation Deita has for Jacob may interfere with her ability to help in the future if Avaramix determines it is time to collect DNA from Jacob.

Again, Jinshin shows up out of nowhere and collects Ben. There is an uncanny ability that Jinshin seems to have for finding Ben. Again the dialog between Jinshin and Ben is amazing.  I must say their chemistry together is the reason I have grown to love these two characters the most.

I hope my review is helpful or interesting in some way. Looking forward to reading more chapters.

Author's Response:

Hands down my favorite review now. I don't even know where to start!

I'm definitely a huge fan of Jinshin and Ben myself, their development is certainly not without a specific purpose. Things will seem to ramp up pretty quickly.

Deita and Jacob definitely have a more complex dynamic now. What would Deita do now to try and get Jacob to not hate her so damn much lol. Poor Liz though, guess her fate is sealed.

I love the breakdowns you gave per chapter. If it wasn't 4AM I'd go into them more but honestly you seem to have a good sense of things. And of course, it always pleases me to avert reader expectations <3

Cannot wait to keep writing! Work can't end soon enough!

Wanted to keep my review for volume I separate from my review(s) for this second continuation. Started reading yesterday night and found myself unable to stop, so I binged it. Now that we are in volume II, things aren't going as I saw them in my own mind.

It is pretty obvious that Jacob and Annie "Gullivette" will eventually meet face to face, I'm very curious to see what their history is and how they know each other. Also curious to see more about Jinshin and Benjamin, though admittedly you make their interactions seem odd, I'm sure you have something in mind for them that will lead to somethign, just not sure what.

This entire chapter itself with Deita and Jacob and Liz was something else. Deita has evolved to be far more complex than I gave her credit for, it seems she isn't the pure fetish pumper I initially thought you designed her to be. I believed she was just an avenue for you to be able to focus on some of the kinkier stuff, as the audience surely craves, but now we are getting a highlight into her actual motives, maybe, still not sure.

Seeing Jacob on the receiving end of Deita's "desires" as you call it, was quite pleasant. Though, it seems that Liz is indeed a goner now, who else would have the power to save her now? I'd say Benjamin, but that's doubtful, as you have made Jinshin to be some sort of an expert in prowess and intuitive nature. This entire story seems hopeless for the victims, which is my only concern because I do prefer a relatively happy ending, but it is too soon to call that so I'll hold my tongue.

I do have some questions for you regarding a few of the details of this story, that I find familiar, so expect a discord message from me (it'll be an alternate username that I prefer to keep private from here)

Otherwise, good work and you have me hooked. Look forward to talking with you directly regarding this story, I have some questions for you.

Author's Response:

I'll keep an eye out for you on discord, and thanks for the reviews they're appreciated! I'll admit my entire plan with Jinshin and Ben has not worked out as intended originally, but I really want to avoid spoilers so I'll keep you to your thoughts for the time being :)

Glad you're enjoying the story so far!

Interesting story you have here, quite interesting. Adding Gullivette was an interesting twist, though not her real name, I like the reference. Good stuff, plot itself is refreshing and though I find myself hating most of the characters I'm wondering how Blaire is going to fit into all of this, she seems to be only a side piece for Jacob but I'm sure that somehow she'll end up being his downfall I imagine. That is if he doesn't shrink her, which I doubt but who knows you've continually exceeded my expectations.

Good stuff.

This review's taken some time to make, though for good reason. Needed the time to just sit down and read through volume one. Not just where I left off on last but as in re-read the whole of volume one. Can whole heartedly say this has shaped up to be a very intriguing story beyond just the smut. While I do greatly enjoy the leader aspects, as I'm sure many do (Deita for the win, best gal) I am more an enjoyer of plotlines when it comes down to lengthy stories.

The characters are fleshed out, none more so than those who align themselves with the trafficking of humans. Jinshin has her angles, her views and beliefs, Deita can do no wrong and is the beat damn character here, and Jacob is STILL a P.O.S XD. Every character written is believable in a way, they don't feel like cardboard copies or stand-ins, which i greatly value in a story.

Can say, the true personalities of some characters really did catch me off guard. For an example, using best Gal here, Deita seemed very business-like and professional at the start, only for it to be shown later on that she can be childlike while her "sister" is more the level headed one. Revelations of personality like those are what I tend to enjoy.

All in all I have thoroughly enjoyed reading through volume 1 and look forward to what you have in store for volume 2.

Especially now that we have ourselves some new players on the board, heheheh

Author's Response:

I've really enjoyed fleshing out each character and evolving the way the interact with each other over time.

I am most excited for Gullivette but admittedly she may not make another appearance until a bit later.

Well, here is volume II

Okay, now we have some drama cooking with the missing girl. How will Blaire start to wonder and question Jacob and what his reaction will be to her questions?

Interesting to read how Jacob responds to the knowledge of Liz’s proposed fate. The analogy of the farmer and their cattle is interesting. I’m wondering if he is hiding his true feelings or if he really has no empathy for Liz. He knows she doesn’t deserve this horrible fate but seems to really turn his back on her. It is a shame for her fate to be swallowed as any other snack digested and turned into this evil woman’s waste and then forgotten like any other food item.

This is a good build up chapter to the eventual meeting we will most definitely be seeing between Gullivette and Jacob. Interesting how Jacob lies about knowing this new antagonist that has appeared.

Looking forward to the next chapters to see more into the life between Jinshin and Ben. Although it is a sad turn for Liz I’m interested in the depths Deita will go with her depravity toward Liz and how the story will go for Liz when she understands what her demise will be.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Ha! Behold! My plan with Blaire this entire time mwah ha ha ha! But yes, if it wasn't obvious, we can see where this little scene will end up leading towards :)

My biggest goal has to really make Jacob a complex mystery to the readers. Of course they all hate him, he is clearly NOT a good person, however what are his intentions? His desires? It's clear he doesn't entirely care about the money, yet he accepts it. He makes it clear he doesn't really care about people, and yet anything to do with Blaire and he's willing to jump off a cliff. Now Liz is resurfacing in his world, unexpectedly, as Deita has made her a pet, with a time limit. Will be very fun to reveal how this all pans out!

Oh trust me, nobody is more excited for the initial face to face of Jacob and Gullivette than I am, I've been planning that specific chapter in my head since the first chapter of the first volume. In fact, a little tidbit of fun information, Gullivette as a character is what sparked this story to begin with! The one from that show, some small animals end up there, and I liked the idea of Gullivette (albeit maybe not as a child, that was weird for the show and I found it off putting, but the idea itself struck Nefarious into my head). Voila, Annie was born.

Yeah, I haven't clarified in the story (on purpose of course) but so far it has not been confirmed if Deita has revealed her desire to Liz or not. It has been delayed, we know that much, but no additional details have been revealed.

That will all be changing very soon <3

Well, here it is, the final chapter for volume one. I will keep this as vague as possible as to not spoil the suspense you intended for this chapter.

I couldn’t stop laughing as I was like what the world is going on with the “Pop” every so often. I was trying to figure it out and then the other individual’s comment had me rolling.

Annie is an interesting character I was not expecting. Now we have an interesting dilemma for the criminal enterprise as there is someone very intriguing playing for the good guys.

Annie is a cruel and vicious person with a childish like personality somewhat of an alter ego to Deita.

There are most definitely tantalizing details left for the next volume. Who is Annie and how is she related to Jacob? Siblings or possibly test subjects in the same lab as they were growing up. What are their history together and what happened to Jacob that didn’t happen to Annie? Why did Jacob make a turn to the dark side while Annie is now working for the feds? Many more question causing more anticipation for the next volume and chapters to come.

I’m still anticipating the follow-up with Deita, Liz, Jinshin, Ben Jacob and Blaire not to leave out Camilla and any new characters lurking in the background just clamoring to step forward.

This most certainly takes everything to a new level and a great ending to volume one.

Loving this so far. Each character is well done in their own way. Hoping Jinshin and Ben work it out. Jacob's love for Blaire & wanting to protect her forcing him deeper into crime is a classic trope.

What I'm hoping to see later on will be how some of the clients act with the shrinkies. You can really get into some good stuff there without it affecting the main cast.

I like how Deita and Jinshin ended up resolving things and will continue working together for now. Jinshin's going to have to decide between Ben and her master eventually.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I'm very excited to release the final chapter of volume I today, working on it right now :D

Yes with the set up of this world nearly complete, the next volume will be brimming with multiple bonus chapters to break from the main story and reveal the fates of Jacob's victims. I'll probably be releasing polls on the discord to see what interests people want to see written out, since I'm pretty open to anything.

Ben is definitely proving to be the outspoken nuisance Avaramix had warned Jinshin about, and yet she seems to allow it for whatever reasons she may have. Cannot wait to wrap up these little plots in the next volume.

Thanks for reading :D

My bad for not doing a review in a bit. But man, I love Deita!! Really hope we get to see her torment other tinies in the future!

Author's Response:

Hey! I was hoping you were still reading hadn't heard from you in a bit :)

Deita is definitely sexy, and I really love Jinshin too but I love them both for separate reasons. While I won't be fleshing out the dilemma between Jinshin/Ben and the fate of Liz as Deita has made her choice to be done with her, it will absolutely be the highlight of the start of volume II almost immediately.

Also, once we get started with Jacob's new position as the main supplier on a mass scale, you can expect more bonus chapters of the fates of his victims! The entire first volume was really just an elongated set up to get to the juicy parts of the story.

Very excited to release chapter 13 to end volume 1, I'm writing it as we speak and it'll be my last little twist for the story before beginning the next volume. Can't wait!

I'm also planning my second series already. Been watching Sword Art Online with my gf and I decided to write an alternate version of my own called Size Art Online and I think it could be a lot of fun!

Thanks for reading :D

Hello, It's me again with my little review.

It is very interesting delving into the psyche of Jacobs mind. The horrors throughout his young life and the indignation he has for mankind. There are some deep ceded issues which could surface in the future, possibly harming those around him including Blaire.

The lies Jacob is telling Blaire will soon haunt him as you can never walk your way out of lies, they will soon find you no matter how far you move from the first lie. You seem to end up losing track of which lie you told, and they are soon discovered.

The banter between Deita and Jinshin is always enlightening. It seems Deita has been kept in the dark on some key intel. Not sure if she has picked up on Jinshin has more knowledge of what is going on in the organization than her. This may be something that has always been and nothing new, but I picked up on this right away.

This new organization O’Dias Karn is ominous and is interesting as who they are. Maybe it’s just me but I’m waiting for how Blaire’s family will intertwine into this underworld in the upcoming chapters. We may hear more from them in the second episode. The tease for the motivations of Jacob is intriguing, looking forward to learning more about those.

I guess I didn’t realize the facility would be that far away, makes since though. You wouldn’t want such a facility to be near anyone.

The shroud was lifted from Avaramix giving us a glimpse into is appearance. It also seems everyone so far in this story has a dark history of some sort. I would suppose this is the same in all life experiences. Our history will dictate who we become as an individual and how we live our lives and interact with those around us. Learning more about the motivations of Avaramix and the experiments that will be performed is haunting and could only be horrific for those test subjects.

The conversation between Avaramix and Jacob was enlightening. It seems the murder of Charles was unnecessary as the Blairs family were notified already we should have seen that coming. A very interesting turn with the proposal from Avaramix to Jacob. This is becoming a great cliff hanger for the next episode and how we move forward into this story. There seems to be a lot that will be written in the last chapter for this volume. You are great at leaving cliffhangers to keep the audience anticipating the next move. Great job on this chapter, I’m looking forward to where we go from here. There has been a lot written about and will have a lot to write in upcoming volumes in the future. You have created a great cast of characters that allow the audience to pick their favorite. So far mine is Jinshin and Ben, I am feeling sorry for Liz and hoping there could be a saving for her but understand if she will not follow us into the next volume outside of Deita’s body. You have created a dynamic between the major characters that leave a lot of room to explore.

Author's Response:

My ultimate goal with volume 1 was to leave a pile of loose ends that would allow me to flesh out resolutions come volume 2, and it seems I've accomplished that.

So many things going on an once. Ben wants to die for some reason, Liz may soon be finding herself inside her final resting place of Deitas belly, Blaire may soon be facing more harassment from her family, Jacob is faced with a proposal of which he didn't see coming, and Avaramix now mentions of a new covert task force that's causing him some grief.

The seeds are sowed, now I await the harvest.

The final chapter of volume 1 will be something neat.

Buckle up for the ride because it just got intense. The opening paragraph was exciting, anger issues is an understatement. Jacob must control himself or he may cause harm to those he didn’t want to. We will see where he takes this and how he will ensure the family doesn’t know where Blaire is or how he can protect her from their reach.

You did it again in great fashion switching scenes quickly while it was intense to have the reader wanting more but again needing to read more about Jinshin and Ben. Great transition to the other characters’ perspective and them living their own lives.

To read that Ben not speaking to her makes her emotionally distraught is further proof she has feelings for him more than just a gift from her master and Deita can read her well.

Jinshin just being calm and unaffected in her approach to this conversation with Deita is interesting and shows her mental instability and understanding of these shrunken individuals as still being a person who had their own lives and dreams is telling. Deita again does not disappoint as she is so cold toward how she will end the life of another human being just as another treat to be disposed of and forgotten like all the other treats she has eaten in her life such as the meal she just had and will forget about it the next few days. These shrunken individuals are no longer human in her eyes but rather just items or property to be dealt with in her own way. Cold callus and uncaring.

As for Jinshin and her feeling she is trying to cope with and understand is not very dissimilar to Jacob’s feelings toward Blaire.

I am enjoying learning more about Jacob as we move through this chapter. It is enlightening and gives you pause at the dislike of his character causing you as a reader to give a cautious empathy nod towards him. I can say I was shocked at the knowledge of more reading more of the extent of Jacobs abilities. Very interesting and opens many doors that were not expected.

There are so many cliff hangers in this chapter that the makes the reader anxious for the next.

Will Deita follow through with her promise and end Liz’s life in the fashion she described, we know she will soon have more than enough victims to pull from and replacing Liz seems to sadly not bother her in the least. The sad part is how life had dealt Liz a bad hand and then she was shrunken and gifted to this evil woman.

How will Jinshin deal with her growing misunderstood feeling for Ben, and will she follow through with giving him what he asked for or will she find a way to deny him this request? Interesting, and excited to see where we end up with this.

The newfound knowledge of Jacob’s history and a peek into the extent of his abilities keeps our suspense heightened.

Dissecting this story chapter by chapter has been enjoyable and rewarding. I hope my small review of each chapter helps in some fashion.

I hope you understand that you have something here and it is becoming one of the best series available to read.

Author's Response:

As I've progressed through the first volume it's been exciting to see your reactions regarding the characters development and how their different storylines converge with each other.

Very excited to release the next chapter and you were very correct as I still have a few more ideas up my sleeve and I'm so excited to finally unveil them!

Thanks so much for reading!
