Okay, i've have been thinking about worldbuilding and why women are still attracted to men.
It's the virus fault. I think that Penelope isn't lying when she says Mike's kiss was étrue connection". What if Futas need men still to reproduce because of the need for the virus to mesh strains and all. it may seems strange but we already know that the virus affected women's brains (it's clearly not natural that they behave the way they do, with monstrous libido and such callous disregard for men around them WITHOUT going out of their way to just crush them like bugs).

Excellent work on fleshing out Penelope as a soft dom. If you are legitimately out of ideas for how to proceed, taking some time away from Mike might be an interesting angle? Maybe follow up on his mom's mistreatment of her male coworkers? That or a good, old fashioned time skip. Would love to see how these relationships and psyches have progressed after 5, 10, 25, etc. years. Could definitely see the two lovebirds going from highschool to college to professional life. Another reviewer mentioned the diminishing status of men as full partners in the new world, might be worth exploring how some real hot and heavy futa on futa relationships (with a tiny or two or three in the mix) are becoming the new normal.

As far as smut goes that was written perfectly. Penelope continues to be a dear, so well done on her. I hope Mikey comes to like this at some point. I feel if anyone has a chance at helping him like it, it would be her. Cheers on the new chapter, my friend. It's a great one
