Random thoughts now that I'm more than halfway through: Miriel and Bertram are really cute together. Loved Shelby being so undiscerning towards elves in spite of that being the whole point of her job as inquisitor. At least she could figure out Miriel's innocent. And good for that candlemaker! I'm glad reverse psychology always seems to work out for shrunken people.

Author's Response:

Yeah I figured it would be funny to have a human who wanted to be shrunk and enslaved meet a bunch of elves who are of the nice variety lol. As for Shelby she's got a lot of preconceived notions about elves that hamper her a little bit, she's actually pretty good at her job when she calms down. Glad you're enjoying the story!

God, I love the reveal of just how badly the elves lost. Instead of planning a grand strategy, Gustavs just checked it off his to-do list. I would give anything to see how Tyrael reacts to that info, given that she was at he battle XD

Author's Response:

Tyrael probably knows better than most elves, but can't really tell them because they wouldn't believe her, there's a reason she wants peace with the humans and it's not ALL good will lol. Yeah Gustav was actually losing the war before the elves dropped a huge pool of manpower in his lap, in a way the biggest legacy of the elven invasion was that he regained the throne.
