And, that was all chapter 1??? Man! You are a genius. As to the characters? I recognize the pastiches of Ashley Tisdale, Ashlee Simpson, and both Duff sisters. But, who's Samantha Sterling supposed to be? Avril Lavigne has never appeared on a TV show under that name. And, the only real life actress with that name...well, let's just say she's never appeared in anything this side of NC-17!

yeah, buti like i said before that was done intentionally. You hear more about that time period in the second story as that part of the story contains more mental turmoil and anguish that leads in the end leads to acceptance of his current state, while acceptance doesn't mean likeing or enjoying the situation acceptance is a start to many things, and I felt those thoughts and feelings fit better in the second story, as this first story ends better with things not all tied up in a neat little bow.
however, if that said. I do appreciate your thoughts and feelings on the story and they are much appreciated and mean alot.

Excellent work, however it seems like it's missing narrative between chapter 1 and 2. Still, enjoyable as all get-out.

I actually did that intentionally as the reader isn't suppose to know about the trials and tribulations he went through over that course of time. You actually learn more about them in second story that i'm writing, however I'm finishing up a few other projects while writing it so i'm unsure when it will be completed.
However, i did go back and add a little bit more of a transition. I orginally had a much longer transition that i felt told a bit too much and lead the reader by the hand a little a bit too much.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed it nonetheless.

Interesting series. It's really hard to put non-cliche twists and go for a not "happily ever after" ending with gentle stories.
